Kingflower is a 5-piece American Indie Rock/Americana band from Indianapolis, IN. The band formed in 2020 when producer and principle songwriter Garrett Langebartels assembled a collection of legendary players to bring his work to life. This group includes Justin Langebartels, Steve Bradley, Tommy Travis, and Shea Farmer. Their collective love for atmospheric Indie Rock/Americana (bands like Wilco, Ben Howard, the National, the War on Drugs and Radiohead) created a perfect universe for the reflective and melancholic midwestern songwriting Garrett offers. Together, their live performances build a world as you wind through quiet moments, soaring instrumentals and intentional lyricism. In 2020 the band released their EP Wild and Woe, which was produced by Sam LoCascio. The band recently released their debut LP, Caverns. This complex record was recorded in a series of group sessions at Naptime Recordings over the course of two years.
